Women must be allowed to join the army . Women have moist of the comfortable and risk free professions in India like media , call center , nursing and always crib that they are being discriminated against no matter what the government does for them . Instead of encouraging PYT’s to marry the army men why donlt the PYT join the army and prove their mettle . When men die in the country celebrates it and calls it glory and when women die it is called misery . Women must come in large numbers and jointhe army and once they die let the husband enjoy the pension and benifits . It is high time we see some women do what they speak and see some husband collecting the param veer chakra on behalf of his martyr wife . That day women would have truly arrived .

marry only very senior officers or u ll become junior ladies .. will get to stay wid ur husband for less than two yrs after three yrs of sepeartion n in those two yrs will b lucky if he spends four hrs a day wid u.. u ll b engaged in noble tasks as brought out by sav n bfore u cud blink ur eye..the tenure will be over

Girls want to marry those who has some aukaat. and if you want to check the aukaat just send an SI to a Colenels office ( you will find colonel saheb receiving him on the door). And you send a colenel saheb to a thana you will find the colonel saheb not even being offered a chair. and i assure you colonel saheb will keep standing discuss the matter with SI.

Hi, I am a journalist married to an army officer. My advice to young independant and strong headed women is, “NEVER MARRY AN ARMY OFFICER.” They may make great husbands, but the stinky organisation will expect you to become wives who spend their time pleasing the wives of senior officers.
I had great pride for the army and wanted to provide mental strength to my officer husband. So I gave up my job where my salary was much more than my husband’s and joined him in a small town where he is posted. I found an alternative to work from home. My husband supports me, but the army has only been discouraging me, cos they want me to be active in “ladies’ activities.” These activities include ladies meets, attendance at shops which are inaugurated every time a senior officer’s wife visits, so called welfare activities where ORs’ wives are forced to dance and sing. If the jawans’ wives refuse to participate, their husbands are punished and told to control their wives. Even my husband was told by his senior officer, “you should know who wears the pants in the house.” He is warned that his career would be harmed if I dont take orders from their wives.
The ladies advise me “we should accept our fate. We can be only hosuewives or teachers.” Why don’t they bloody hell understand that times have changed. We live in the 21st century and we need not resign to our “fate.” Well, they may not for the army still lives in the 18th century.
Thankfully I have a husband who stands by me and considers my career as important as his. You may not be that lucky. Think twice before marrying an Indian army officer.

If the army wants more officers to join them, they have to come out of the British mentality and catch up with the changing world.

Tell ‘em that in ordinary marriage the mother in law may be a bit of a bore.

In the Fauj they will have a whole bloody bossy Joint family plus the WAWA’s
hounding them. And apart from hubby’s professional competence what will be needed is a long snivelling grovelling grind as 30 + unit and Fmn Ma in laws teach the PYT the pecking order.

Better marry a soap salesman -Gurcharan Das types.
