…to save Pakistan
It is a well-known fact that the new President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari is fond of most things English, mansions in rural England included. He has displayed a new found love for many things American, Sarah Palin included.
A few days after his inauguration as the President of Pakistan, Mr. Zardari visited Jinnah’s tomb and left a message on the visitor’s log there.[Link]

It reads:
May Good give us the strut to save Pakistan. ~Asif Ali Zardari, President, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
While people are focusing on the wrong use of the language (after all English is still a foreign language), I was wondering more about the content – “…to save Pakistan“.
Two simple conclusions. Firstly, Zardari thinks that it is a hopeless situation and Pakistan is about to collapse. Secondly, the new President of Pakistan needs a strut (structural support) from God (Good Gawd!) to save the nation. The “Friends of Pakistan” may feel offended that the cry for help is not directed at them.
Phew… this really sounds scary now!

Oh come on, Pragmatic.
Leave those low blows about Palin aside
@Dear Prag.
Your blog is not accepting my comments.Is it deliberate, or should I call for software help to fix the problem?
@Anshuj:
While the above comment is there, three of your comments on another post were marked as spam. I have just rescued them. Please do call for software expert to fix the problem and let me know as well.
Zaedari is at least hopeful and optimistic when he says
“May Good give us the strut to save Pakistan.”
But our Supreme Court says “Even God cannot save this Country” when it reflects upon misgovernance.
[...] controversy over Asif Zardari’s misspelt remark “to save Pakistan” on the Visitor’s Book at Jinnah’s tomb refuses to boil [...]
Salam and peace for all.I do accept that the situation of Pakistan is not good but I think that we got this beautiful land on the name of islam and therefore I believe that Almighty Allah will save Pakistan. We do not condemn hinduism or other religions but we want to save our religious values. Therefore we are in need of Pakistan. No matter if patriots of Pakistan r not on screen but they reside infinitely in Pakistan and they had always been a shield to pakistan, the shield of life and i do pray that God too give me stength to save pakistan.
